Maitland to wing it for Scotland

Sean Maitland is set to join the ranks of Scotland's 'kilted Kiwis' when he makes his Test debut in the Six Nations clash against England at Twickenham on Saturday.

Maitland, who played for both the Maori All Blacks and the New Zealand Under-20s, only arrived in Scotland in October after signing a three-year contract with Glasgow.

But he was one of six changes and a positional switch announced by interim coach Scott Johnson from the side that lost to Tonga in November when the Australian unveiled his first Scotland team on Tuesday.

The Tonga loss led Andy Robinson, the former England flank and coach, to resign as Scotland's head coach.

Scotland, who finished with the Wooden Spoon in last season's Six Nations, have not won at Twickenham since 1983.

England, who in their last match beat world champions New Zealand at Twickenham in December, are due to name their side on Thursday.

Replacements: 16 Ross Ford, 17 Moray Low, 18 Geoff Cross, 19 Alastair Kellock, 20 David Denton, 21 Henry Pyrgos, 22 Duncan Weir, 23 Max Evans.
