Wales recall a Jones

Wales have recalled Ospreys lock Alun Wyn Jones into their Six Nations squad.

Jones, who has been capped 67 times by Wales, returned to action for his region last weekend and will link up with the squad on Tuesday as they reconvene following their 16-6 victory in Paris against France.

The 27-year-old came off the bench for the Ospreys last Friday, having recovered from a shoulder injury he picked up during Wales’ year-end international campaign.

Jones made his regional debut for the Ospreys in the 2005/2006 season and was selected for Wales’ mid-year tour to Argentina at the end of that campaign where he made his international debut.

He has gone on to play in two World Cups and has been part of two Grand Slam-winning Wales sides.

Having the experience of Jones in the Welsh set-up will be important as they look to build on their success from last weekend.

The Welsh Dragons travel to Rome to take on the Italians on Saturday, February 23 and will want to do what France were unable to and leave Italy with a win.
