Welsh skipper ruled out of decider
Wales captain Ryan Jones has been ruled out of the Six Nations title decider against England on Saturday because of a broken bone in his right shoulder.
The flank, who has captained Wales a record 32 times, went off with the injury in the second half of Saturday's 28-18 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield.
"It looks as though he will be out for six to eight weeks," Wales assistant coach Robin McBryde said.
Jones regained the captaincy last month when Sam Warburton was injured ahead of the second-round match against France.
"Ryan has shown a great example to the other players in the squad and his leadership will be missed," McBryde said.
Warburton, who led Wales to the Six Nations Grand Slam last season, overcame a shoulder injury to return against Scotland and is expected to regain the captaincy against England when the team is named on Thursday.
Wales must also decide whether to start with flanks Warburton and Justin Tipuric at Millennium Stadium.
England can win its first Six Nations Grand Slam in 10 years.
If the Welsh beat their fiercest rivals by eight points or more, they will retain the title. A win by seven points would leave the title going down to tries scored – and Wales has the edge by two.
