Stormers centre heads to Wales to join Dragons
TRANSFER NEWS: South African back Chris Hollis has joined the Dragons on a short-term contract.
The 25-year-old – who can also operate at centre or wing – makes the move to Rodney Parade after a spell with Stormers.
The strong running centre – who weighs 102kgs – has linked up with the squad at the team’s Ystrad Mynach training base ahead of the final three games of the United Rugby Championship season.
The Tarkastad-born back played youth rugby for the Bulls in Pretoria before signing for the Southern Kings and making his Pro14 (now URC) debut in 2019.
He later played for Griquas and the Lions before a move to Stormers in 2022.

Hollis featured on the wing for the Stormers last month when they defeated Northampton Saints in an exhibition fixture in England.
Dragons head coach Dai Flanagan said: “Chris is a player who wants game time and is a big ball carrier and man who can make his mark here.
“I first noticed Chris several years ago when he was playing for the Southern Kings, and I’ve followed him ever since and been a big fan of his.
“Chris can play multiple positions so adds great depth to our squad and is someone who we feel can be a real asset to us.”
