Sunwolves add to South African contingent

Prop Hencus van Wyk, of the Munakata Blues squad in Japan, has become the fifth South African on the Sunwolves roster for next year.

Van Wyk, who was on loan to the Lions from the Munakata Blues for Super Rugby this year, played for the Bulls from 2011 to 2016, after coming through their age-group ranks.

He will join fellow South Africans Ruan Smith (prop), Grant Hattingh (lock), Willie Britz (loose forward and Gerhard van den Heever (wing).

Other new additions to the Sunwolves squad include Tongan Sione Teaupa and New Zealander Michael Little (both centres).
