'An unfortunate incident': Wallaby captain suffers huge blow
INJURY UPDATE: Queensland’s hopes of maintaining their spot in the top four have been dealt a huge double blow with Wallaby skipper Harry Wilson and Filipo Daugunu both cut down by injury.
Wilson will be sidelined for at least six weeks after fracturing his right arm in last week’s 15-27 loss to the Chiefs in Hamilton.
Daugunu has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a lower limb injury.
The injuries come at a crucial time for the third-placed Reds, who host the fifth-placed Brumbies at Lang Park on Saturday.
Wilson also fractured his right arm last season, but Reds coach Les Kiss said the new setback wasn’t related to last year’s injury.
The Reds play seven more games plus have a bye week before finals start, and Kiss is optimistic Wilson will be able to return for the team’s title charge.

“It’s just an unfortunate incident. Hopefully that heals quickly and he’s back in play,” Kiss said.
“We’d hope so [he comes back in time for finals].”
Joel Brial will replace Wilson at No.8 for this week’s clash with the Brumbies.
“He’s been in great form,” Kiss said.
“The way he’s played off the bench and when he’s had his starting opportunities, he’s been unbelievable.
“He’s really coming of age.”
