Bam and Beast 'hook up on twitter'
SUPER RUGBY SPOTLIGHT: Wallabies flank David Pocock has paid tribute to Tendai Mtawarira on Twitter, before the prop becomes South Africa’s most capped Super Rugby player.
The Sharks head to the Lions on Friday, with the loosehead in line to make his 157th appearance, moving one ahead of Adrian Strauss.
Pocock sent this message ahead of Mtawarira’s landmark appearance:
Congratulations @Beast_TM on becoming South Africa’s most capped @SuperRugby player this weekend. You’re a great ambassador for rugby and ๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ผ. Makorokoto mkoma!! pic.twitter.com/NMOxaMaz43

The Brumbies loose forward will not be the only player to lead tributes to the prop, as โThe Beast’ has forged quite a reputation in world rugby. To go with his Super Rugby appearances, he also has 107 caps for the Springboks, being his country’s most capped prop (although John Smit briefly played as a prop).
The Sharks will be hoping to bounce back from their loss to the Bulls at the weekend, but face the daunting prospect of the South African Conference leaders the Lions. Nonetheless, this will be a special occasion for Mtawarira.
