Beale blow for Waratahs
The Waratahs will be without star Wallaby midfielder Kurtley Beale for their Super Rugby semifinal against the Highlanders on Saturday.
After there was a cloud of doubt over Beale's fitness during the week it is now confirmed that he failed to complete training on Thursday due to a quadricep injury.
Beale is replaced by utility back Matt Carraro who reprise the role he took at short notice against the Reds a couple of weeks ago.
The good news for the Tahs is that wing Rob Horne, who was also struggling with a niggle during the week, is fit and will take his starting place on the left wing.
The rest of Michael Cheika's starting XV remains unchanged from their last regular season game against the Reds.
In the reserves Tolu Latu is back from suspension and he slots onto the bench in place of youngster Hugh Roach.
