Bok blow for Bulls
The Bulls suffered another injury setback on their Australasian tour with experienced Springbok flank Deon Stegmann ruled out of their match against the Brumbies in Canberra on Saturday.
Stegmann picked up an ankle injury in his side's narrow (18-23) defeat to the Reds in Brisbane.
He will be out of action for at least a week, team doctor Org Strauss confirmed on Monday.
Bjorn Basson, who was brought back into the side for the Reds clash following an ankle injury, will only train on Wednesday.
However, he is expected to play.
Bok lock Flip van der Merwe – who took a blow to the chest in the 19-41 loss to the Crusaders the previous week – is on the mend after missing the Reds match and should be back for the clash against the Conference topping Australians.
Wynand Olivier (knee, four weeks), Akona Ndungane (cheekbone, three weeks), Dean Greyling (stress fracture, three weeks), Francois Hougaard (ankle, three weeks) and Marcel van der Merwe (knee rehab, May) are recovering back in Pretoria.
