Broken arm for unlucky Stegmann

Bulls flanker Deon Stegmann has suffered a cruel blow with a broken arm sustained in his side’s 27-24 win over the Waratahs in Sydney on Friday.

The 26-year-old had only recently returned to action from another injury and will now fly back to South Africa, and will spend another six weeks on the sidelines.

Stegmann is the second Bulls flank in as many weeks to suffer an injury blow, after Jacques Potgieter limped off with a knee injury against the Melbourne Rebels last weekend.

Stegmann will be replaced by Dewald Potgieter, who has been declared fit following a hamstring strain.

Potgieter and Dean Greyling will fly to New Zealand on Saturday, where the Bulls next take on the Highlanders in the second half of their Australasian tour.

Greyling was on paternity leave after his wife gave birth to a son on Monday and will again join up with the team on Sunday.
