Brumbies in 'good shape'
Lock Blake Enever is the only serious casualty from their 32-15 win over the Waratahs last Friday – a result that sees the Brumbies sit at the top of the tournament standings, ahead of the Sharks, Stormers and Lions on points difference.
Brumbies lock Sam Carter said despite the brutal nature of the encounter with the Tahs, most of the squad had pulled through the weekend feeling okay.
"Most of the players are pretty good," Carter said in an interview on the Brumbies website.
"I think Blake Enever hurt his AC, so he'll be out for a couple weeks – but most of the boys pulled up well.
"We trained yesterday [Sunday] and we're back into it again today [Monday]."
The Brumbies will travel to Perth this week for a Round Three Super Rugby clash against the Western Force.
The match will be the side's first of three straight fixtures away from home.
Carter said the Force match would be a good test for the Brumbies.
"We've obviously got off to a good start," Carter said.
"Now we've got three games on the road and it's really important to get those wins away because if we come back and we've got those results in Perth and South Africa then we'll be shaping well for the season.
"Our goal is to win away and to win well. Our first game is this weekend in Perth and that's what we are focusing on."
The Brumbies have experienced mixed results during their visits to Perth winning five times, losing twice and playing in one draw.
Carter said the squad would have to be ready for the journey to Perth.
"It is always tough to go to Perth," Carter said.
"We've had a few mixed results in Perth over the last couple of years but we'll be looking to get a good result on Friday."
The Brumbies will be getting their big road trip out of the way a lot earlier than in 2015. The side didn't travel to South Africa until Round 13 of last year's Super Rugby competition.
Carter said it was beneficial for the side to travel earlier in the season.
"It's good to get it out of the way," Carter said.
"Blokes are fresher after coming off of a big pre-season, we've trained well and we've had two games at home. Going away now is better but obviously we still have to get the results and play well."
