TRANSFER NEWS: Brumbies lock Murray Douglas will spend the Super Rugby off-season back in his native homeland having signed a short-term loan deal with Edinburgh Rugby to provide cover during the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The 29-year-old former Heriot’s, Kirkcaldy and Aberdeen Grammar player returns home to Scotland to reacquaint himself with one of his former clubs with whom he has already made one appearance – against Cardiff Blues in 2012.

Douglas, who has previously turned out for Super Rugby sides Rebels and the Hurricanes, joined the Brumbies on a two-year deal at the start of the current campaign and made his debut in the Round 4 match against the Rebels in Melbourne coming on for David Pocock in the second half.
