Brumbies unchanged for showdown
The Brumbies have named an unchanged line-up for the blockbuster elimination game against the Stormers at Newlands on Saturday.
Wallaby by David Pocock has been named to start on the flank despite the fears that he may miss the encounter after suffering a concussion against the Crusaders in Round 18.
Matt Toomua is set to play off the bench again after battling an ankle injury.
This is the third year in a row the Brumbies are featuring in the play-off stages and it will also mark Christian Lealiifano's 100th Super Rugby cap, all of which have been in a Brumbies jersey.
"Making 100 is always pretty special, there’s a special group of men have achieved that and I really acknowledge that," said Lealiifano.
"For me, every game I've taken as if it’s going to be my last, so definitely a special time."
The battle of the boot between Lealiifano and Stormers' Demetri Catrakilis will be a titanic showdown, especially in play-off circumstances.
Les Makin and Nigel Ah Wong have been named on an extended bench after travelling to South Africa with the squad.
Brumbies: 15 Jesse Mogg, 14 Henry Speight, 13 Tevita Kuridrani, 12 Robbie Coleman, 11 Joe Tomane, 10 Christian Lealiifano, 9 Nic White, 8 Ita Vaea, 7 David Pocock, 6 Scott Fardy, 5 Blake Enever, 4 Rory Arnold, 3 Ben Alexander, 2 Stephen Moore (captain), 1 Scott Sio.
