The bad news for the Pretoria-based side is that Springbok duo Handre Pollard and Duane Vermeulen will both miss the upcoming fixture at Eden Park on Friday.

Pollard returned to South Africa last week after a calf strain injury ruled him out of contention for the Brumbies meeting.

However, the good news is that Pollard’s recovery is on track and he will return to the playing squad in two weeks’ time, the Bulls confirmed.

The South African franchise also revealed that Vermeulen’s neck injury he sustained during the defeat to the Brumbies is not that serious as initially thought and he is expected to recover quickly.

The Bok loose forward has been replaced in the touring squad by flank Ruan Steenkamp.
