Bulls' Boks in doubt
Three of the Bulls' Springboks – Pierre Spies, Jano Vermaak and Francois Hougaard – are injured and in danger of not playing in Saturday's Super Rugby match against the Southern Kings at Loftus Versfeld.
A fourth, loose forward Arno Botha, is the latest addition to the long-term list, following his knee injury picked up against Scotland two weeks ago.
Spies has a grade three tear to his bicep, picked up against Samoa on Saturday.
Spies will see a specialist during the week.
Vermaak is recovering from a hamstring injury picked up against Italy three weeks ago.
Hougaard will see a specialist on Tuesday to look at his on-going knee issue.
Louis Fouché (quad, Wednesday), Dewald Potgieter (contusion, Wednesday), Dean Greyling (bronchitis, Wednesday) will not train on Monday.
However, team doctor Org Strauss gave Travis Ismaiel (shoulder), Akona Ndungane (bone bruising), Jacques Potgieter (foot) and Lohan Jacobs (toe) the green light to train on Monday.
The Bulls' long term injury list include Paul Willemse (grade three, MCL knee injury – three weeks till his return), Cornell Hess (ACL/MCL tear – five months), Lionel Mapoe (shoulder dislocation – at least three months) and Arno Botha (ACL tear – six months).
