The 24-all draw against the Highlanders was a costly one as both Schalk Brits and Marco van Staden left the field with concussion.

The duo started their Return to Play protocol and a decision on their availability for their crucial final round clash against the Lions will be made later in the week.

Meanwhile, the squad has been bolstered by the return of Rosko Specman and Warrick Gelant for their respective hamstring injuries while Jesse Kriel has recovered from his ankle injury.

The squad should also have Duane Vermeulen available again after the Springbok No.8 was rested during the Bulls’ final two games on tour.

Flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff has successfully completed two SuperSport Rugby Challenge matches and has done well after recovering from his knee injury.

The players still on the injury list are Paul Schoeman (hamstring – eight weeks) and Lood de Jager (shoulder).

The Bulls are second in the South African Conference and fifth overall heading into Round 18.
