Bulls get some beef back
The Bulls received a significant boost ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Hurricanes at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
The length of their injury list has reduced significant – with Deon Stegmann, Frik Kirsten, Morné Mellett and Grant Hattingh being all available this week.
Stegmann (ribs), Kirsten (elbow), Hattingh (thumb) and Mellett (knee cap) were unavailable when the Bulls beat the Waratahs 30-19 at the weekend.
There is a chance that utility back Jürgen Visser could also be available to face the Hurricanes.
He will undergo a fitness test on Wednesday to see how far he has progressed after the dead leg that forced him out the Waratahs match.
Jan Serfontein, Dewald Potgieter, Ulrich Beyers, Rudi Paige, Pierre Spies, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Ruan Snyman did not train on Monday.
However, according to team doctor Org Strauss they all will be back on Tuesday.
Marcel van der Merwe, who has no featured for the Bulls in Super Rugby since he joined them from the Cheetahs, is also training with the squad after recovering from a knee-operation.
Paul Willemse (knee, 12 weeks till his return), Cornell Hess (knee, six months), Zane Kirchner (finger, two weeks), Frans Venter (groin, six weeks) and Callie Visagie (ankle, one week) are still out of action.
