Bulls keep their Bok props
Springbok props Dean Greyling and Werner Kruger have both extended their contracts with the Blue Bulls until 2015.
The 27-year-old Greyling joined the Bulls after he completed his schooling at Afrikaans Hoër Seuns and excelled in the junior and senior ranks.
He has played 30 times in the Super Rugby competition (15 points) and 31 times in the Currie Cup (15 points). He has also represented the Springboks in three Test matches so far in his career.
Kruger, a former Jeugland High School learner, also joined the Blue Bulls straight out of school and the 28-year-old has become one of the franchises most experienced tightheads, having already represented the Bulls on 75 occasions and played for the Blue Bulls in 79 matches.
His Test debut for the Springboks came in 2011 and he has played for the Springboks five times thus far.
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke was a very happy man to hear of the extensions.
"It is no secret that high quality props are hard to keep in the country and to have two of them agreeing to an extension of three years at the same time is wonderful news, not only to the Bulls, but also to South Africa.
"Both Werner and Dean have their best years in their positions still ahead of them and to know that they will be playing those in South Africa and more particularly Pretoria is awesome news for all concerned," he said.
Ludeke is also expecting the two props to take on senior roles in the squad in future.
"Both joined as juniors and have been in the system for a long time now. They have embraced and support the work ethic and culture within the squad and I expect both to become strong senior players in the years to come," he added.
