Bulls suffer another setback on tour

It was revealed that prop John-Roy Jenkinson suffered a hamstring injury in his Super Rugby debut against the Blues in Albany last Saturday.

The young front row forward will return home for further treatment and miss the crucial encounter with the Chiefs in Hamilton this coming Saturday.

Jenkinson came on as a replacement in the second half of the 14-38 loss to the Blues in Albany, but suffered a grade two hamstring tear.

This rules him out of the remainder of the tour, which includes matches against the Chiefs and Sunwolves respectively.

Conraad van Vuuren will be flying to New Zealand to join the squad in place of Jenkinson.

A call on the fitness of loose forward Hanro Liebenberg will also be made later in the week, according to Bulls team doctor, Herman Rossouw.

"Hanro injured a pectoral muscle," Rossouw said from the team's training base in Rotorua.

"We need to see how it is responding to treatment in the next day or two before we can make a call on his continued involvement on the tour.
