Canes draft in Proctor, Marshall
The Hurricanes head to Hamilton on Friday to take on the Chiefs with two new faces in the back three.
Matt Proctor and James Marshall will join Julian Savea as the Hurricanes resume their Super Rugby campaign, after the June break.
The starting XV has very few changes from when the Hurricanes last played, against the Brumbies in May.
Karl Lowe the only other addition, coming in at openside flank.
On the bench Blade Thomson has been bracketed with Faifili Levave, who needs to pass a late fitness – as he is struggling with a foot injury.
If Thomson is included in the matchday 22 and takes the field, he will be making his Hurricanes and Super Rugby debut.
Alapati Leiua, who has just returned from international duties with Samoa, rounds out the bench.
Players unavailable this week include Andre Taylor (shoulder), Tim Bateman (knee), Jeffery Toomaga-Allen (knee), Motu Matu'u (arm) and Ardie Savea (away with New Zealand Under-20).
