Canes face crisis at hooker
The Hurricanes face a potential crisis at hooker, after bot Dane Coles and Motu Matu'u left the field on Friday with injuries.
The two players were injured in the Hurricanes' 29-28 win over the Crusaders at Westpac Stadium.
Coles was replaced in the 42nd minute because of an ankle injury.
He has since had an x-ray on his left ankle, which cleared him of any fractures.
Matu'u also received a knock to his shoulder and came off with two minutes to play in the match.
The Hurricanes said they will "monitor" them both over the next 48 hours to see how they pull through.
Canes coach Mark Hammett said it was a physical game and after the intensity of that second half there will be a few sore bodies.
"The medical team will monitor both Dane and Motu over the next couple of days and should be in a better position on Monday to determine the seriousness of the knocks and when they are available to train and play," Hammett said.
