Cheika continues his clean-out

Michael Cheika has made another change to the Waratahs' coaching structure.

On Thursday Cheika announced the departure of assistant coach Scott Bowen.

The former Waratahs flyhalf has been a part of the coaching set up for over three years.

He joined as manager of the High Performance Unit in February 2009 and worked with the Academy before being appointed as an assistant coach in 2011.

As a player, he pulled on the NSW jersey 49 times between 1993 and 1999.

Acknowledging Bowen's service to NSW rugby, Cheika said: "I'd like to thank him for the significant contribution he has made to this team, as a player and a coach, and wish him all the best for the next stage of his career."
