Chiefs cast their eyes to SA's best

 

The Chiefs next match is away in Cape Town against the undefeated Stormers on March 14, they then travel up the coast to Durban to take on the Sharks in what is sure to be a tough tour.

 

The South Africa opposition does not end there as their first fixture back home is to the traveling Cheetahs.

 

For All Black and Chiefs flank Sam Cane, it is now about learning from the mistakes made on Friday and rectifying them.

 

Cane said after the match in Hamilton that the Chiefs had let themselves down as a group.

 

He did however highlighted that they would look for improvements and be more determined to get back out on the pitch and rectify the errors.

 

"It's a tough competition," Cane said looking towards the tour to South Africa.

 

"But the good thing is you get to play pretty much week in week out."

 

One of the highlights of the Chiefs in 2015 is their strength in depth with the like of impressive young brothers Damien and Marty McKenzie rubbing shoulders with experienced players such as Aaron Cruden and Sonny Bill Williams.

 

"We've got a bloody strong squad, with lots of character and lots of depth," Cane continued.

 

"We can't dwell on [the loss] for too long we'll bounce back because we know on that plane on Sunday [to South Africa]."

 

Cane added that they were looking forward to the tour as a group as it would be an opportunity to bond together.

 

"Looking forward to a couple of good weeks away where we can bond as a group and test ourselves against some South Africa's best," Cane concluded.
