Chiefs head to Rotorua for Blues trial

Back-to-back Super Rugby champions, the Chiefs, will play their only New Zealand pre-season fixture against the Blues on Valentine’s Day, February 14 at Rotorua International Stadium.

Dave Rennie and his coaching team are expected to give as many players as possible a run and will use the pre-season match against the Blues to try out a variety of position combinations.

Rennie said: “We are looking forward to playing in Rotorua. It is important to us to play games in different parts of our region. We have done this over the last few years and will continue to do so as it helps us understand who we represent.”

The Chiefs will play the Reds in their first pre-season match at Toowoomba Sports ground on February 8.
