Chiliboy cited for 'red card offence'
Bulls hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle has been cited for alleged foul play during Saturday’s Super Rugby match against the Western Force at Loftus Versfeld.
Ralepelle is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (h) and 10.4 (k) – a player must not charge into a ruck or maul; charging includes any contact made without use of the arms, or without grasping a player – when he made contact at a ruck with Force wing Alfi Mafi in the 11th minute of the match, won 36-26 by the home side.
The match officials did not act upon the incident on the field, and upon further review of the match footage, the citing commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
The citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer, Adam Casselden.
The hearing will be held via video conference on Tuesday.
