Chinks in the Brumbies' armour?

Brumbies captain Ben Mowen admitted that his team can't afford to lose their momentum the way they did against the Western Force.

The Brumbies played some excellent rugby and established a comfortable 22-0 lead at half-time with four tries already on the board and the bonus point secured.

However, things turned around quickly in the second half with the Force mounting a spirited fightback and the Brumbies will be alarmed at how quickly they lost their ascendency.

"We lost a bit of momentum early in the second half and the Force were playing really good footie," Mowen said.

"The way we played in the first half showed what we are capable of and we just need to do it more consistently."

The Force will be livid with themselves for their awful start to the match and it looked as though they only came to the party after half-time.

Wallabies and Force skipper David Pocock was bitterly disappoint with his side's poor start to the game, but their fightback gave the team something to smile about.

"We showed a good resolve to bounce back after half-time, but we gave away too much in the first half," Pocock said.

"We gave away some tries where they went straight through us and it was pretty disappointing."

Pocock added that the team would have liked to produce a win for veteran lock Nathan Sharpe in his final match in Perth.

"It is disappointing to send Sharpey off on this note," Pocock added.
