The three-time Super Rugby Champions’ trip to Cape Town proved to be a hard knock on the team as they will also be without the services of Divan Rossouw and Jade Stighling.
Wings Rossouw and Stighling left the field with concussion and despite Rossouw passing his initial Head Injury Assessment, the 23-year-old was declared unfit to play this weekend.
This means the duo will miss Saturday’s Round 12 clash against the Waratahs.
Meanwhile, inside centre Burger Odendaal, who suffered a blow to his eye during the North-South derby, was declared fit to face the Australian franchise.
