Crusaders bench Carter, axe Fruean
The Crusaders have made four changes to the team to face the Rebels in a Super Rugby Round 11 match in Christchurch on Sunday.
All Black loosehead prop Wyatt Crockett has been replaced by Joe Moody, scrumhalf Andy Ellis gives way to Willi Heinz, and Tom Taylor returns at inside centre, with Ryan Crotty moving to outside centre and Robbie Fruean dropping out of the matchday 22.
All Blacks pivot Dan Carter is on the bench, back after a month's absence from the game due to paternity leave and a hamstring strain.
Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said he is "enthusiastic" about the afternoon fixture.
"It will be great to be playing with a bit of sun on our backs and is an ideal day out for families," he said.
Blackadder said having two No.10s, Tyler Bleyendaal and Taylor, as the playmakers may give better balance to the attack and stop it moving sideways.
"We've got two distributors each side of the ruck," the coach said.
"It is important they can recognise where the space is and get the delivery of the ball there a lot quicker."
