Flank Miller retired to his farm south of Sydney at the end of the 2020 season after helping the Brumbies win the Final against the Queensland Reds.

But the 28-year-old is returning to Canberra for the remainder of this season to cover the loss of Jahrome Brown, who suffered a shoulder injury in the Brumbies’ win over the Western Force a fortnight ago.

Miller said he was excited by the opportunity to get back to the Brumbies, who take on the unbeaten Reds at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

“I certainly wasn’t expecting an opportunity like this when I retired last year and I’ll be doing everything I can to make the most of it and contribute where I can,” Miller said.

Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said while they were disappointed for Brown, they were delighted to have Miller back amongst the troops.

“We couldn’t be happier to have Will back at the Brumbies; he’s a really well-liked member of the group and a solid footballer with great skills,” McKellar said.
