Davids demands 'accountability' from Kings

The hosts launched several attacks inside the Bulls' 22 during the latter stages of the first half and did well to apply pressure.

However, they couldn't breach the visitors' defence and were left try-less after their Pretoria counterparts ran in six tries and denied them a number of scoring opportunities.

"I think for us it's all about accountability, we need to take responsibility for what we do," said the Kings mentor.

"In saying that, we also need to revisit the situations in which errors occur and move from there. We have to decide what is the best decision to make to take the team forward."

Kings skipper Steven Sykes believes that the team's on-field performances will improve.

"I think we're still growing as a team although the scoreline doesn't say it," said the 31-year-old Sykes.

"I think there's a lot of positives and we put ourselves in great positions to score points, but we just didn't capitilise [against the Bulls].

"I think that's just inexperience and I think as we grow as individuals in the team we're definitely heading in the right direction.

"Nobody thought it would work off the bat, but I think it's a lot of small processes and we tick a lot of boxes in the game, but there's also things we need to cut out.

"It's been a tough five weeks, the niggles are starting to come through now, so it's good that we have a week to re-egnergise."

The Kings have a bye this weekend and will host the Lions at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Round Nine on Saturday, April 23.
