De Bruin: Aphiwe can become a legend

The 23-year-old scored two tries and made a number of linebreaks in the Lions' 47-27 win over the Jaguares in Round Two of Super Rugby.

In his Super Rugby debut against the Sharks in Round One, Dyantyi scored a brilliant try and was a handful out wide for the Durban side during that match.

"He is special," said De Bruin. "He had another good game. He tries things when it is not on and that is what you want.

"He gets very good ball from the forwards for starters, so we must be careful not to just single out one player.

"If we really look well after him and don't push him too quickly and let him earn his colours then he will become a legend I predict, if we plan his future well."

Despite the end score, the Lions didn't have it all their own way during the match, especially in the opening quarter.

"It was frustrating. It is one of those situations where we are so keen to play and we were so keen to show what we can do, and it was just mistake after mistake.

"But I think we must look at the end result – we got 47 points against an almost full on international side, so we will take it. I will give the guys credit. We trained to play a brand and if doesn't come off I don't want to go conservative. That is against what we stand for.
