The Johannesburg franchise’s 24-31 defeat to the Sharks last weekend was accompanied with four new injuries concerns – including Springbok flyhalf Elton Janties.

The 27-year-old sustained a rib injury, while the others names on the injury lists are prop Dylan Smith (calf strain),  lock Marvin Orie (concussion) and flank Len Massyn (ankle injury).

Aside from Massyn, the injured players are set to spend one week on the sidelines.

This is good news for Lions who have a bye this weekend before concluding the season with a visit to the Bulls in final round-robin stage.

While, wing Sylvian Mahuza (adductor strain) who was not part ot the 23-man squad against the Shark will also be fit for the Bulls clash.
