Du Preez is a happier man after Sharks win
The Sharks failed to secure the bonus-point but managed to record their seventh win of the season after that horrendous 9-all draw against the Rebels on April 22.
"I am happy with the win, it is disappointing that we did not take the bonus-point," Sharks head coach Robert du Preez said.
"There were too many opportunities we did not take.
"However I have to admit we played some really good rugby, just our patience let us down on attack. Funny thing, on defence we were pretty good and our discipline was excellent.
"There are just individual errors that occurred when we got into their 22, it is something we really need to work hard on. But I'm still not happy with our conversion rate," he added.
The hosts took a 20-7 lead at the break, but is was not all smooth sailing.
The Sharks were forced to work hard for their victory and only managed to take control of proceeding in the 37th minutes when the Force's centre Curtis Rose was sin-binned for repeated infringements.
With the extra man on the field, centre Jeremy Ward, starting in place of suspended Andre Exterhuizen, scored the first try for the Sharks.
"We really had to work hard for the tries against the Force.
"Jeremy [Ward] played really well. Ward and Lukhanyo are forming a nice centre combinations.
"I think both of them can play well in the number 12 or 13 jerseys," he praised his young centre pairing.
With the play-offs looming, Du Preez's charges would have to start accumulating that elusive bonus-point.
But with the Kings waiting in wings, Du Preez is solely focused on just winning every week.
"It is always good to have the bonus-point – I don't think we have accumulated one bonus-point thus far – [despite no bonus-point] we just have to keep on winning.
"We can't predict who we going to play in the quarterfinals, we just have to work hard and hopefully build momentum.
"[In terms of facing the Kings next week] there is no place for complacency, I think it will be tough. They will be ready for us,"
