Enever answers Brumbies' call
Blake Enever will make his fourth start for the Brumbies on Friday, when they take on the Western Force in Perth in Super Rugby's penultimate round of league action.
Enever comes into the team to replace Sam Carter, who has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks – after sustaining a medial ligament tear in his knee during last weekend's clash against the Bulls.
Enever's inclusion is the only change to the side that faced the Bulls in Canberra last week.
Christian Lealiifano will remain at No.10 and Robbie Coleman at No.12, as Matt Toomua spends another week on the sidelines recovering from a syndesmosis strain.
Coach Stephen Larkham said his team had prepared well and were looking forward to the match.
"We have had some good training sessions this week," Larkham said.
"Blake has been a solid performer all year and he has slotted well into that No.5 position during training.
"The Force have some really strong players and we need to be well prepared to face them in what should be an entertaining match.
"The trip to Perth is a long one so we will do some light preparation over Thursday and relax a bit before getting out there on Friday."
While the Western Force have only posted two wins so far this year they still present as a genuine threat to any team.
As the Brumbies will be fighting to regain their spot at the top of the Australian conference, the Force will be motivated by their desire to move from the bottom of the Super Rugby ladder.
The Brumbies have come away the winners from all but one of their last seven encounters with the Force, including a win earlier this year and in both games in 2014.
The Brumbies most recent loss to the Force was during this same encounter in 2013.
