Engelbrecht in the clear for Kings
Kings flank Jacques Engelbrecht has been cleared for the game against the Cheetahs on Saturday, while Andries Strauss' shoulder injury has shown remarkable improvement.
Director of Rugby Alan Solomons said Engelbrecht, who came off the field in the 49th minute against the Waratahs following an ankle sprain, was fit for selection for the clash with the Cheetahs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
"Jacques took full part in training today and has been cleared for selection by the medical team," he said.
Solomons said Strauss, who came off the field in the 23rd minute following a shoulder injury, in the Southern Kings' last game against the Highlanders, was also making significant headway.
"Andries also took part in training today, although it was just a light training session, and we are hopeful that he will be ready for the game, although we will only make a final decision about his inclusion on Tuesday after a more intensive training session," he said.
