Force has Coleman for another year

The 24-year-old second rower will remain with the club until the end of the 2017 season, as he looks to build on his solid form throughout the 2016 season and shoot for a spot in the Australian side.

Coleman has been a one of the inform-locks in the Australian conference, sitting third in the entire competition for lineouts won, while just playing 35 games since signing with the Force in 2014. Coleman has typified his game style with a strong work ethic, huge defensive efforts and strong leadership.

Coleman is exited to stay at the young and improving Force side. He said:"I’m really happy to be staying on for another year. I’m really enjoying playing Super Rugby and really enjoying my time here at the Western Force so I want to put all my time in here and make the most of it,”

Commenting on his potential selection to represent Australia, Coleman admit it is his ambition to put on a Wallaby jersey.

"I’ve always got aspirations to play for the Wallabies but my main goal as it always has been is to play well for the Force and making sure we are succeeding. If I can do my job well for the Force and then Wallabies opportunities come later down the track then I’ll take it as it comes,"

Western Force's coach Michael Foley says that the re-signing of Coleman was a priority for the club.

"As we've seen over the past three years Adam has made massive progress and you have to secure talents like that early,

"The progress he has made is noticed by everybody and the fact that we've been able to secure his services and have a player that has developed here and cares about the team is really important.

"If Adam keeps playing the way he is, there is no doubt he is an international prospect of the future," Foley stated.
