Hoeata to face SANZAR hearing
Jarrad Hoeata of the Highlanders has been charged to appear before a SANZAR judicial hearing.
Hoeata received a yellow card in the Super Rugby match between the Highlanders and Crusaders in Dunedin at the weekend, a match won 40-12 by the Crusaders, after he was caught attacking the face of an opponent.
It was the third yellow card by the Highlanders loose forward this season.
Pursuant to Rule 6.1 of the SANZAR judicial rules, Hoeata is to appear before the judicial officer appointed for the match in which he last offended.
The player's offences are to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR judicial officer Jannie Lubbe.
All SANZAR disciplinary matters are in the first instance referred to a judicial officer hearing to provide the option of expediting the judicial process.
For a matter to be dispensed with at this hearing, the person appearing must plead guilty and accept the penalty offered by the judicial officer.
