Hurricanes Fifita in hot water

DISCIPLINARY NEWS: Hurricanes’ win over the Sharks have been marred by a red card to Vaea Fifita.

The loose forward was sent for a high tackle on Sharks Daniel du Preez.

The dangerous incident occurred on the 74th minute during the Hurricanes 30-17 win in Durban.

Fifita is alleged to have contravened Law: 9.13 A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously.

The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday, June 2 at 10.00(SAST), 6.00(AEST), 8.00(NZST) via video-conference.
