Jaguares retain bad boy Lavanini

The second row forward, whose gladiatorial tendencies has made a huge contribution to the Argentinean outfit being the most carded team in the competition, has been named in the starting team for the Round 15 encounter at Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires.Jaguares retain bad boy Lavanini

Lavanini, who was red-carded for a disgraceful act of thuggery in his team's 22-29 loss to the Southern Kings in their last outing back in May, appears not to have learnt his lesson – despite a two-match ban being slapped on him.

Last Saturday, in his first match back from the ban, he was again yellow carded for jumping with his knees into the back of a prone player in the second Test loss to France.

However, the belligerent lock will start alongside regular second row partner Guido Petti.

Another ill-disciplined Jaguares player who have not paid for his sins is tighthead prop Ramiro Herrera – who was also red-carded for an act of thuggery in Port Elizabeth Ramiro Herrera.

Lavanini was red-carded in the 25th minute and Herrera followed him back into the dressing room for an early shower in the 37th minute.

However, flank Tomas Lezana – who was yellow carded in the 70th minute of the loss to the Kings, which reduced the visitors to 12 men for the last 10 minutes of the game – has been axed.

Pablo Matera replaces Lezana and in the only other change to the pack Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro tAkes over at loosehead prop from Santiago Garcia Botta.
