Jordaan takes the inside track
Paul Jordaan has been tasked with the job of looking after Sonny Bill Williams on Saturday.
The Sevens Springbok and South African Under-20 star, Jordaan, has been named at inside centre in the Sharks team to face the Chiefs in the Super Rugby Final in Hamilton on Saturday.
This is the big bolter in the team named by coach John Plumtree on Thursday and come as a result of the fractured hand that ruled out Tim Whitehead.
Jordaan comes back after recovering from a hamstring injury.
However, other significant selections include the return from injury of Pat Lambie, who will start at fullback. With Lambie back, Riaan Viljoen drops down to the replacement bench.
Plumtree has named an unchanged pack.
"There has been some continuity in selection, which has been great," Plumtree said, adding: "At this time of the competition it's really important, but at the same time, we've had some injuries as well, particularly to our midfield.
"So it's fantastic having Pat Lambie and Paul Jordaan coming back into contention.
"We're a bit lucky with the backs, because we've lost a couple through injury, so having some come back at this stage is vital.
"Being able to select the same pack for the past few weeks has been great."
