Kitshoff cited for big hit

Stormers prop Steven Kitshoff has been cited for a dangerous tackle on Matt Toomua at Newlands on Saturday.

Kitshoff is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (e) Dangerous Tackling in the 61st minute of the match between the Stormers and Brumbies at in Cape Town on Saturday.

The referee for the match Glen Jackson, acted upon the incident during the match by awarding a penalty.

Upon further review of the match footage the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play

The Citing is to be considered in the first instance by SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Jannie Lubbe SC.
