Kriel cleans up at Bulls

The 21-year-old Kriel, who became a Springbok this year and featured prominently in the Boks' World Cup campaign, walked away with three awards.

Not only was he named the Player of the Year (first prize), but he was also named the Super Rugby Back of the Year and Players' player of the Year.

Bulls captain Pieter Labuschagne also featured prominently – taking away the Currie Cup Coaches recognition award and Super Rugby Forward of the Year awards.

South African Sevens Bok Warrick Gelant also secured himself a double – Currie Cup Players' player of the Year and most promising/improved player.

Another double went to Marco van Staden in the Under-21 age group – Forward of the Year and Players' player of the Year.
