Lee is now a big Chief

Chiefs No.8 Fritz Lee has re-signed with the 2012 Super Rugby winners for the 2013 season.

Lee was given some clear expectations around his game of what the Chiefs coaches wanted to see from him during NPC – New Zealand's premier domestic competition.

According to a statement on the Chiefs website Lee took this on board and the coaching team were happy with what they saw from him in the first few rounds of the competition.

Chiefs' coach Dave Rennie said: "Fritz got minimal game time but showed a fantastic attitude through out the 2012 campaign.

"He is a good team man who has made some positive shifts and we're looking forward to a big Super Rugby season from him."

Lee was having a strong NPC season for Counties Manukau prior to breaking his arm against Bay of Plenty and was happy to get the call from Dave Rennie prior to the Bay of Plenty game confirming a position for him in the team for the next season.

"I have unfinished business with the Chiefs and have a lot to prove, so I am rapt that the Chiefs management team have given me the opportunity to do this," said Fritz.
