Leinster's Carbery heads to Munster

TRANSFER NEWS: Ireland’s versatile back Joey Carbery has opted to join Munster ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Carbery, who makes the move from Leinster, is currently part of the Ireland squad set to travel to Australia for the three-Test tour.

The 22-year-old was initially linked with a move to Ulster.

Carbery has made 37 appearances for Leinster, scoring 101 points, while at international level he has played on 10 occasions, scoring 22 points.

Leinster were keen to hold onto the versatile back, but their efforts were in vain as he confirmed his switch to Munster.
