Mellett to miss Stormers clash
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke was handed a very short injury list on Monday and he will be able to select from an almost full squad for Saturday’s Super Rugby warm-up match against the Stormers in Polokwane.
Mornè Mellett is the only regular squad member not to be considered for the Limpopo clash, as the prop is recovering from a back strain.
There was some concern last week about the fitness of Arno Botha (back), David Bulbring (shoulder) and Jono Ross (knee), but according to Bulls team doctor Org Strauss, all hands are on deck this week.
"Arno, David and Jono will be able to take part in the full team session," he confirmed.
"At this stage it is just Mornè, who will be rested for another two weeks. Marvin Orie [Vodacom Cup lock] will also be out for another month as he is recovering from a broken leg sustained in last year’s Varsity Cup final", the doctor added.
