Loose forward Tim Agaba underwent surgery on Monday for his torn bicep – suffered while playing for the Blue Bulls in the domestic Challenge Cup competition – and will be sidelined for four to six months.

Hanro Liebenberg is recovering well, but will only be available for selection after the June international break.

Jannes Kirsten is still following his rehabilitation programme for a nerve injury but is expected to be back towards the end of May.

Marnitz Boshoff is also recovering well from his meniscus surgery.

The team welcomes back Roelof Smit, who has recovered from his concussion and will be available for selection this weekend.

Ruan Steenkamp rounds off the positive news for the team, as he has completed his rehabilitation and should be available for selection for the Challenge Cup team this week.
