New-look Canes to tackle Blues

Hurricanes head coach Mark Hammett has named his 27-man team to face the Blues in Masterton this Saturday.

 

Plenty of new faces will get a run for the Hurricanes this weekend, with the majority of the new squad and wider training group members set to go up against the Blues.

 

After a gruelling pre-season that has seen the squad undergo a number of intensive training sessions, the Hurricanes are itching to get onto Memorial Park for their first hit-out of 2014.

 

The game kicks off at 3pm local time, with a number of feature Sevens matches set to warm up the crowd from 12.55pm.

Hurricanes: 15 Nehe Milner-Skudder, 14 Newton Tudreu, 13 Tim Bateman, 12 Cardiff Vaega, 11 Matt Proctor, 10 Marty Banks, 9 Chris Smylie, 8 Brad Shields, 7 Ardie Savea, 6 Jack Lam, 5 James Broadhurst, 4 Mark Abbott, 3 Brendon Edmonds, 2 Joe Royal, 1 Chris Eves.
