Pumas tweak for Kimberley trip
SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: Pumas coach Jimmy Stonehouse has tweaked his team for their trip to Kimberley on Saturday.
The Pumas, fresh from their 22-15 upset of the Cheetahs last week, face Griquas in the final round of South Africa’s domestic Preparation Series.
There are three changes to the side that kept the Cheetahs tryless in Nelspruit last Friday – when flyhalf Eddie Fouché scored all of his team’s points.
Lock Darien Landsberg has been ruled out with a knee injury sustained against the Cheetahs.
Although the initial prognoses are ‘not too serious, the coaching staff are still awaiting the results of a follow-up scan.
Replacement hooker Abraham le Roux and back-up prop Ruan Kramer have been axed from this week’s team
Jaco Willemse, Khwezi Mafu, Brandon Valentin, Ignasias Prinsloo and Hendrik van Schoor have been added to the 25-man squad that is preparing for the trip to Kimberley.
