Rebel in hot water
DISCIPLINARY NEWS: Melbourne Rebels lock Trevor Hosea has been cited for alleged foul play during his side’s defeat to Brumbies.
Hosea is alleged to have contravened Law 9.20 Dangerous play in ruck, when he made contact with Brumbies replacement Nic White, which according to SANZAAR statement’s Citing Commissioner had met the Red Card threshold for foul play.
The 21-year-old also spent 10 minutes in the sin bin after referee Damon Murphy handed him a yellow card in the 32nd minute of the match.
The case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Tuesday, April 20 2021 via video conference.
