Reds ready for Force's breakdown battle
The Reds found themselves third on the Australian Conferences log and will fancy their chances against the Force, who are on Super Rugby's death row.
Thus far, the Queensland-based side have had fairly good results against Australian opposition and with their latest being a 29-24 win against the Rebels just before their bye-week.
"First week of training has been really good, the intensity has been really high.
"The boys have enjoyed the break and we have come back [to training] fresh and rejuvenated, " centre Duncan Paia’aua said.
The 22-year-old has been instrumental in his side's attack and has created a lethal centre combination alongside captain Samu Kerevi.
However, Paia’aua admits that most of the time they let individual performances take preference to the team's game plan, which proved to be the side's downfall.
The centre also emphasised that if they indeed want to beat the Force, they should be more brutal at the breakdown come Friday.
"We have to stick to our game plan and play the full 80 [minutes]. In round two we were leading most of the game but we just started playing as individuals and disregard the game plan and it came to bite us is in the end.
"[Against the Force] we should do better. They are hard at the breakdown, so our focus is to go hard at the breakdown and win the ball quickly," he explained
"We've learned from the Rebels game and I think it was pleasing to win it at the last minute and received the bonus-point aswell,"
